9 Inches.
I measured it tonight, 9 inches. Really Novemeber, really? I’ve recently adjusted that to be October, but now I’m thinking even that isn’t realistic. How long can I let my hair grow before cutting it? In attempts to donate my hair every 2 years + 2 moths, I mentally prepare myself for the cut at a designated time. For 2 years + 2 months, that designated time is all I think...

So can I add you on facebook?
According to my father, the object of the internet in anonymity. If you are going to ask me permission to add me on facebook, that defeats the entire point. You are making me reject you in person, I can see your face, you are no longer annonymous. My suggestion, don’t ask such a foolish question. Go for it. Friend me. If I reject you, I reject you, but atleast I don’t have to live...

Tonight I did it. When I saw him I didn’t think I could. I knew he was coming for me. I felt it. I saw the way he looked at me from the minute he walked in. He gave me that look and then started toward me. I thought about saying no. I thought about getting up, moving away, something of the sort. Thats what I’ve always done in the past. But not tonight. I wanted to do it. I wanted to...

Credit card roulette →
A game of chance to decide which person pays for a restaurant meal. Every party contributes a credit/debit card into a hat and the waiter/waitress removes one card at time. The last card removed pays the entire bill. Wayyy too much fun to have on a school night….this really shouldn’t be allowed…

Eating a salad is the most depressing thing in...
kiamatthews: There is no joy to be found in a salad. I mean have you ever been like “I’m so excited to eat this salad!”? No, you just eat it and try not to cry when you think about the much better food you could be eating. I do get excited to eat my daily salad for lunch (it has cubes of turkey…that I cut up!)…but then again I sit there wondering how long I should wait before...

I now realized why I am single on Valentines day… I just ate an entire apple pie. Alone. Maybe I shouldn’t publicize that. I think its time to go on a diet. Tomorrow?

A thing that peeves me.
inothernews: There’s a series of posts that shows four covers from the Time magazines from around the world, including the U.S., Asia and European versions.  And it’s always that the U.S. has a starkly different cover story than the other editions — this week, I guess American Time subscribers were reading about pets or animals or somesuch, and the rest of the world was reading about the...

cadesnyder: …I don’t know that I would say the film goes so far as to be exploitative of the events of September 11th, but I don’t believe it does justice to them either.  It basically uses them as a shortcut to achieving emotional resonance in the audience, which does a disservice to those affected by the tragedy…

Cade Snyder and His Movie Ramblings: Extremely... →
I’ve been called heartless and non-human after watching this film. I didn’t cry. I didn’t think it was so heartfelt and full of emotion as did everyone else. I was led to believe, and told, that I was the only one to feel this way. After reading the below, I see that I was not alone, as everything below sums up my thoughts exactly. cadesnyder: Extremely Loud & Incredibly...

I was a Hasidic Jew, but I broke free →
I think the main point I want to get across with this article is that this is NOT the norm. She was from a small sect of the Jewish religion, a very small and closed off sect. To say this is how all religious Jews are raised, and the treatment for all young Jewish girls, that would be a blatant lie. And even more so, many of the young girls love the life they are living in the Satmar community....

Kate Middleton’s Designer Inspired by Hasidic Coat →
Katherine Hooker’s outerwear label began in 2003, after she decided to replicate a coat she had bought in Israel. “I bought a young boy’s Hasidic coat in a junk shop,” she says. “And it was an old one, like when clothes used to be made for people as opposed to mass market. I was 18 and tiny and skinny, and it fit me absolutely perfectly; it was made for a 14-year-old...
